Outfit on a Cowboy Attire Party

All photos were taken December last year, during our office christmas party and the theme is Mexican or cowboy attire.  I didn't have budget to buy a new costume so I just search the closet, and got disappointed not to find a checkered polo.  Instead I got  long sleeve shirt with animal print designs, wore a blue leggings that my cousin and I bought at H&M Singapore, I did'nt have a maong pants, I mean I gained inches my maong can't fit me anymore. And pardon for wearing a Reebok rubber shoes instead of  boots....I really wish I had one, but it will be hard to buy one with my size.... My friend told me to try At Payless shoe store.  I also wore a long Maong chaleco  or vest with hood.  I think cowboys wear vest right?  My officemate/friend braided my long hair and I ended up looking like indian and cowboy at the same time.  Well I just thought, if all of them will be playing cowboy, someone must play like Pocahontas or An indian....  To avoid the confusion, my officemate lent me his extra cowboy hat. Now do I look like a real cowboy now?

without the hat, I think I looked like an indian in disguise

My Outfit at the Beach

Going to beach, believe it or not there is a proper attire for it.  When I went to Boracay Island, I just wore a plain shirt, jogging pants, a pair of slippers, my hat and my shades.  I need to be comfortable because I will be transferring transportation one after another.  The bags to put in your things are another thing. It is recommend to use a back pack instead of those baggage with wheels. But it's your choice...

I wore only two types of Swim wear, I wore a two-piece suit, the top is like a halter blouse with v-neck and the length is long enough to cover the stomach, the bikini is something I cannot wear alone or without  a spandex shorts. My second swimwear is just customized hahaha. I wore a top shorter that the mid rib but longer than the normal brassier.  Liberated? well not really, I wore them with cover-ups.  Again I am lucky to have generous cousins.  Liza gave me the two cover ups the night before I left for Boracay. She's not as big as I am but she insisted her cover ups will fit me. Though I was doubtful I brought the cover ups at home and when I tried it, l was surprised to see that both fitted me like a miracle hahhaha.  But I like Boracay, you won't see people looking at you with weirdness because only  ignorant people believe that fat people are not allowed to wear swimsuit. hahahah.   Boracay will give that kind of freedom...Who cares? the point is we are dressing up for the occasion.... Beach is made not for people gifted with shape but for everybody, If I am an eyesore, that's the problem of the one looking at me hahahaa. do i sound bitter...?

My hair was curly long and unruly so it was a good decision to get a braid. It  added to my already over confident aura hahaha.

Guys don't forget your sunnies, it's a must when strolling.

My second set of swimwear, see if you don't want to bare swim with the cover ups....

Still shy to wear swimsuit? this is the trend now... wear a rash guard instead.... petite ladies can easily buy one at Greenhills. I got mine at Robinson's Metro East.  Bigger women like me can try the male version.  The brand I used in our Teambuilding at Potipot Island Zambales, was Sun n Sand. I am not ashamed I used the biggest size in men's... I still look feminine anyway hahaha.   Rash guard is good specially if you don't want to get a sunburn.  My rashguard has the sun proof quality, I really did not get a sunburn although I soaked myself until past 12 nn.        You can match your rash guard in many ways you can.. My sexy office mates wore bikinis matching the colors of their rash guards, one wore a spandex knee length leggings... I wore a short obviously LOL..

Again don't forget your sunnies, not just to look good but to protect your eyes from the sun

About hair, since it is shorter this time and there was no one offering braid services, I found it good to just tie it.  I guess that kind of hair style is matching with the rash guard hahaha..

Having fun, my legs look good here hahahaha

With my pretty officemates
I did not write information about Boracay, I have written a hub about it prior to this blog. If you guys are interested visit this link:  http://maria-cecilia.hubpages.com/hub/Exploring-Boracay-alone-or-with-friends

Watches My Passion......

Sometimes, I can't help but compare this passion to my passion for Philippine Local Dogs or Aspin.  OK I am known as a dog lover.  A passion I can't explain really especially with the Aspin or Askal to some, those who are like my adorable Peso.  Whenever I see one local dog I don't know why I can't miss to give it a second look... Same with watches.... I don't know but where ever I go it became my habit (bad habit) to look at the wrist that wore a watch. Inside LRT, FX or PUJ....  Even with officemates, they got used to me looking at their wrists and asked them about the brand LOL... I just don't know where I started liking watches.. Was it another influence by my father? When I was in my freshman in highschool, father gave me a Casio watch with a game called the Pyramid...when I was in college he gave me this orange Alba Wrister watch, that I really liked a lot.  I matched it with an orange protector which was was a trend then.  I guess it all started then.   I started collecting watches in college, the only branded watch that I had then that I bought from my own savings was a yellow Swatch. It was P700 only then.. Gee now you know I am old.  I am not particular with brands, but more on style of the watches.  I lost all of them, hard to maintain conditions and battery when you don't have your own money yet.  But I have two watches now that I used when I was still in college and up to my early years of  working.. My gold plated Citizen watch from my father and this small Seiko watch from my mother... I am still trying ways to revive the Seiko and my Citizen needs repair too. Yes I need a reliable watch maker....

I will be very happy to see these two watches working  again..

This is my favorite Korean Actress Hajiwon, she's wearing an ODM watch, she wore the same watch in her drama "Secret Garden".  Believe it or not I really searched for the watch and prayed that it will have an affordable price.

This style of ODM watch is called Bloc. I love the four circles.  The price is just around 4k but because it was discounted, I paid for only 3,500.

This watch is worth P1,500 if converted to peso, but I bought this one as my souvenir from Hong Kong Disneyland.  Cousin said you can't buy this watch anywhere.  This is authentic from Disneyland. so considering the fare going to Hong Kong and entrance fee to Disneyland, I guess this is not cheap LOL...

Most of my branded watches were gifts from cousins.  Cousin Liza bought the Coach and Gshock when she went to Hongkong, my Anne Klein at China during her Asian cruise.

If you are a watch collector you put a certain criteria on when to buy your next watch and what is your next target.  There are too many branded watches out there, in fact they are overwhelming.... In my case in order not to be too impulsive, I am considering the style that I have in my collections.  I love the stainless steel bracelet watch, but looks like I need more ladylike watches, branded or not...

I am happy with my collections... Though I still don't have that Silver or Stainless or Sterling Philip Stein watch, Tissot or Marc Jacobs.  They are too expensive.. I guess proper collecting of your passion must be put into balance too, if you can't afford it yet, try to save but don't sacrifice... spending for our collections must be reasonable too right?

Outfit of the Day on a Friday

Friday, I just wore a simple long sleeves shirt.... forgive me for wearing shades  indoors,  I am just trying to make office mate smile.  I was matching yellow with black that day.I wore black fitted pants and black flat half shoes. I matched my outfit with black leather Liz Clairborne Bag, and Black leather Liz Clairborne Wallet  Nothing special with the clothes... The shoes I  wore is an old one.  When father was still alive, he kept on telling me not to wear my best shoes on a rainy day.    Ok let me explain, I have my shade because sunlight was at the peak when I left the house this morning. But still it's a rainy season, so I wore my rainy days shoes. So my own definition of rainy day shoes is not the plastic boots, nor plastic sandals or crocs, but old shoes..

OK I need to mention the watch I wore, I chose not to use my Coach Gold Watch, I usually wore it when I am wearing yellow, but instead I wore my stainless steel  Guess watch, it's water resistant anyway.

Oh yes I will always mention watches in 'my fashionn blogs" because I am a watch collector... I don't only focus on expensive watch, even if the watch is not branded but if the style captured my attention and the price is more than right, of course  I will buy it even if my cousin (who gave me all my branded watches, Yes I am lucky with generous cousins), will oppose me and will  say I am just wasting my money buying watches that wont stay long.. But I know it will stay longer than expected it depends on the one using it.

Outfit of the Day

Add caption

As of today I decided to post  my outfit of the day photos. I am not a fashion guru or a personality development expert, but I am willing to share my style, my choice, and my belief that comfort is more important than looking good. Or why not combine beauty and comfort if it's possible.

We also don't need to wear expensive or branded clothes all the time to feel good.  Some good clothes look  really expensive but you will be surprised to know the prices of some of the clothes that I wear.  My pink inner blouse was an old piece that I combined with pink plus size blazer or Polo. The Oversize polo was more or less 200 pesos, thanks to my clothes supplier/ friend Blessie. My Navy blue pants was also not expensive... It was raining so instead of wearing my pink watch to match my color of the day, I chose my G-shock watch which is certified 20 meters water resistant.
